Whether you want to ride on Otmoor, an area of outstanding natural beauty or on the farm, our Park & Ride facility makes a great change from your usual routine.

With plenty of hard standing and a route card to follow, you are free to enjoy the lovely countryside around Otmoor. 

We are continually varying the rides so there is always something new.

Bring your horse and enjoy exclusive access to our private farm on the edge of Otmoor on grass headland and gallops and farm tracks. 

Access to our private off-road tracks and headlands which link to an extensive network of bridleways with access to Otmoor, an area of outstanding natural beauty and the circular Noke Bank Ride over Hundred Acres and access to three local pubs where horses are welcome; The Abingdon Arms at Beckley, The Crown at Charlton on Otmoor and The Nut Tree at Murcott.  

£15 per horse including use of wash down area, tea/coffee & refreshments

 

Point to note – Access to the bridlways on Otmoor may be restricted due to MOD training activities so booking is imperative to avoid disappointment

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the minimum age? 

Under 14’s must be accompanied by an adult. 14 – 17 year olds can ride alone, however an adult must sign in with them and wait for them to return.

There are no jumps on the ride

Do I need to bring my horse passport?

You are always required by law to carry your horse passport with you when you are away from your horse’s place of residence.

Can I cycle with a rider? 

Yes although many tracks are grassy and may be not easy

Is there a photographer?

Yes!  Emma is a keen photographer and will be happy to take photographs if she is available.  The cost is £10 per horse and Emma will send 50+ photographs via Dropbox or a similar electronic transfer facility.

Is there water on the course?

No, there are no water crossings on the farm.

What safety equipment do I need to wear?

A hard hat must be worn which should conform to current safety recommendations. We would also strongly advise you to wear body protection.

Is any of the course on a road?

There is no need to ride on the roads unless you wish to incorporate the villages of Murcott, Fencot, Charlton on Otmoor, Horton cum Studley or if you fancy a ride to The Abingdon Arms at Beckley which is the other side of Otmoor. 

Can I pay on the day?

Yes!  Please leave your payment in the box in the WC if you don’t see Emma or her family or staff.

My aim is to get riders off the increasingly busy roads onto farm tracks which join up to create interesting riding routes, linking to public bridleways.  £15 per horse/rider, fee includes unlimited time on the farm.  DIY tea/coffee and Emma’s homemade cakes or biscuits.  £10 Children on lead rein.  There is no discount for multiple riders.  Our prices are very reasonable!
