Glenwood Treeless Saddles

Selling quality brand used saddles with the option to trial any saddle for 2 weeks.

Treeless saddles have always been a much misunderstood subject, I am a great advocate having used them for multi disciplines for over 20 years – but understand they don’t suit or fit every horse and every rider, contrary to many claims. 

It’s also as important to spend your money on a quality treeless pad for your saddle, as it is on the saddle itself because without a good pad designed for the type of saddle you have, the saddle should not be used.

I have a variety of quality second hand saddles, all are available for sale or trial.

Many brands offer a trial if you are then buying a new saddle, I am offering the chance to trial a second hand saddle for those that don’t want the larger expense of purchasing brand new but are unsure how it will feel, and whether you’ll like it once you’re sitting on it.

Brands currently in stock: Torsion, Barefoot, Heather Moffat, and Exmoor Treefree.

All well known brands that have been tried and tested over the years for their suitability for various horses and disciplines.  No saddle will claim to be perfect for every horse and rider so trialling can help to work out if it will be right for your situation before buying.

How trialling works:

You order the saddle by dropping an email to info@theequinetrader.co.uk or telephoning on 07701007353

The cost for the trial is £65 (includes £15 carriage) plus £200 deposit.

The saddle will be sent to you, if you require a pad, girth and Webber leathers these will also be sent, and you have 2 weeks to try the saddle however you wish to use it.

At the end of 2 weeks you will need to either pay the balance (and return the pad/girth etc, or purchase them at additional cost) if you want to keep it or return the saddle and accessories in its original box and packaging at your cost (PF48 is around £13-15) to me and your deposit will be returned immediately by the method used for payment.

I can arrange collection of the saddle by Parcelforce if required as long as it is packaged up ready.

Payment is available by Debit/credit card/bank transfer.
